Makhuntseti Waterfall
Makhuntseti Waterfall is one of Ajara's most famous and frequently visited natural attractions. It is located in the village of Makhuntseti, Keda Municipality, approximately 30 kilometres from Batumi, in the valley of the Acharistskali River. Situated at an altitude of 335 metres above sea level, the waterfall cascades from a height of approximately 50 metres, creating a spectacular sight as the water flows down a beautiful rocky cliff. Surrounded by lush forests and scenic natural landscapes, the waterfall offers a remarkable experience in every season.
Just a few minutes' walk from the waterfall stands the historic 12th-century Queen Tamar Arch Bridge, making this location a unique combination of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Visitors can also enjoy ziplining, rafting on the Acharistskali River, purchasing handmade local souvenirs, and tasting traditional Ajarian cuisine.
