Located in Ajara's Kobuleti Municipality, Kintrishi National Park spans the Kintrish River valley, nestled between the village of Tskhemvani and the Khino mountains at elevations ranging from 300 to 2,500 meters above sea level. The park encompasses both the Kintrishi Nature Reserve, founded in 1959, and the Kintrishi Protected Lands, established in 2007. With its uniquely humid air and diverse terrain, Kintrishi aims to safeguard the Tertiary-age Colchis flora and fauna. This protected area is also included in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage List.

Visitors can obtain comprehensive information about the reserve at the visitor center. Two primary routes are available for exploration within the park: the one-day "Tamar’s Arched Bridge" hiking and horse-riding trail, and the two-day "Utkhovari and Tba Tbikeli" hiking and horse-riding trail.

Boasting the largest forested area among Georgia's protected regions, Kintrishi National Park is home to a wide array of Colchian-local plants, shrubs, and ferns. The park's diverse fauna includes brown bears, wolves, lynxes, foxes, badgers, hares, and forest cats. The rivers teem with an abundance of trout as well.

The park's ancient ruins, bridges, and temples transport visitors on a journey through time, with their walls narrating stories of Georgian culture, architecture, and religion.

Whether it's a day or two spent picnicking, walking, or horseback riding in Kintrish National Park, exploring this remarkable sanctuary is sure to leave you with cherished and unforgettable memories.
