Kvariati Beach
Just 17 kilometres from Batumi lies Kvariati, a beach wrapped in mountains, forest, and that soft seaside breeze that makes everything feel instantly calmer. The coastline is lined with hotels, hostels, and restaurants, where you can savour traditional Georgian dishes in the open air. With those sweeping sea views in front of you, even an ordinary meal turns into a little adventure of its own. Many of the buildings cling to the mountain slopes, giving you a front-row seat to the Black Sea horizon and a refreshing coolness drifting down from the hills all summer long.
Kvariati may be peaceful and cosy, but that doesn’t mean it’s short on excitement. If you’re in the mood for something a bit bolder, diving is one of the highlights here. With an instructor by your side, you can glide 10–20 meters beneath the surface of the Black Sea. The water is so clear and bright that you can easily explore the underwater world — and snap some unforgettable photos or videos while you’re down there.
It’s the perfect place for families and friends to unwind, spend slow, quiet days, and then watch the sky melt into sunset in the evenings.
