Tsivasula fortress
Keda municipality is brimming with attractions, including numerous fortresses. These were strategically built to effectively control passageways throughout the region.
Tsivasula Fortress, situated at the confluence of Agari Ghele and Ajaristskali rivers, is perched atop a steep, rocky promontory. While challenging to climb, it can be accessed via a narrow path from the northwest.
Constructed with uneven piles, whitewash, and flat stone, the fortress is relatively small and has suffered significant damage, leaving only two walls standing at around 5.5 meters high. Despite its current state, remnants of various structures – such as pits, water reservoirs, ramparts, and gunnery – can still be found within the Tsivasula fortress.
