You can reach this waterfall from Batumi via any minibus heading towards the village of Kedi. This journey will take roughly 30 minutes, and then you'll need to disembark at the main highway. Upon arrival, you'll notice two signposts, one leading to the waterfall and the other to the renowned stone bridge constructed during King Tamar's reign. As you approach Makhuntseti, you'll be greeted by the soothing sound of cascading water and, in just a few minutes, a remarkable sight unfolds. In the summer, visitors can enjoy a swim beneath the waterfall. Here, you'll also find restaurants and picnic areas for your convenience. The waterfall towers at a height of 36 meters.
Tsablnari waterfall is another popular attraction within Mtirala National Park. Standing at over 28 meters high, it is an impressive sight and a major highlight for visitors. This pedestrian and educational-entertainment destination combines two significant features - a waterfall and a lake. The trail is made even more enchanting by the undergrowth, composed of birch, Colchis boxwood, and various ivy types.
The path leading to the waterfall follows the beautiful Chakvistskali river valley. Nestled among Colchis elm and ivy, the waterfall is a hidden gem just 2 kilometers from the visitor center. In the heart of the wilderness, there's a dedicated camping site for those wishing to spend the night. A kilometer away from the waterfall, a river flows between rocks, forming a whirlpool teeming with trout. For those who'd like to stop for a bite, there are picnic spots and fire pits by the river.
Located in the village of Merisi, Kedi Municipality in Ajara, is the Merisi waterfall. Standing at 30 meters high, this waterfall is 13 kilometers away from the ridge. To reach it, you'll need to follow a narrow footpath for about 100 meters, which winds its way through rhododendrons. The waterfall is often brimming with water, making it possible to swim in its pool. Additionally, you'll find wooden huts perfect for a picnic.
Medzibna waterfall, locally known as "Goderdzi waterfall," is situated in Kedi municipality, about 10 kilometers from the center. This waterfall also towers at around 30 meters high. Hidden behind the cascading water, a natural cave exists within the rock that can house up to ten people. The walking distance from the end of the road to the waterfall is about 500 meters. The waterfall, originating from towering mountains, is so powerful that caution is advised if you decide to swim in its natural pool.
The Mirveti waterfall can be found in the Mirveti village, Khelvachauri municipality, part of the Ajaristskali community. It's situated on the left side of the Chorokhi river, 60 meters above sea level, and 19 kilometers away from Batumi. From the main road, you can spot a medieval stone arched bridge dating back to the 12th century. After crossing the bridge and capturing some photos, head over to the 20-meter high Mirveti waterfall. The village of Mirveti, situated along the banks of the Chorokhi River, is one of Ajara's most scenic villages. Here, the fresh sea and mountain air blend seamlessly. The village is surrounded by a beautiful green valley and is home to the endangered Colchis sycamore, listed in the Red Book. There is also a picnic area near the waterfall in the village.
The Twin Waterfalls are located in the Machakhela National Park, east of the Lower Kokoleti village in the Khelvachauri municipality. Nestled at 735 meters above sea level, these waterfalls are surrounded by mixed, deciduous, and coniferous forests. The two waterfalls plunge from a height of 47 meters, creating a unique and beautiful environment. A trail leading to these waterfalls is accessible to all. There is also a picnic area at the end of the trail.
Dandalo waterfall can be found in a namesake village in Kedi municipality. This waterfall, standing up to 40 meters high, creates an enchanting sight.
